Moska Project

The Moska Project 12-8-07 Swamp Grass Willy’s.

With bare feet and tan skin, the two Venezuelan friends take the stage.  With Carlos on the drums and Gilly on the bass the night begins. Moska is self described as “an experimental band that merges fusion rock, Latin funk and melodic tropical sounds with punchy lines”. This is exactly what the Moska  boys delivered Saturday night.  A unique set up with just a drummer and a bassist but far from lacking in substance, talent and energy. They filled the room with positive vibes and good ole fashioned beach party jams. Playing original tunes like “Vices” that made you wanna groove and “Reincarnation” that brought smiles to all in attendance. Moska’s dub sound and head bobbing jam sessions blasted through Swampgrass Willy’s sound system with melodic intensity. These guys love what they do and it shows. They are in this for the love of music, friendship and life. A show that you should NOT miss the next time they come to your town.

Dharmata September 29th, 2007 venue: Swampgrass Willy’s

The mood in the room was full of nervousness, excitement and anticipation. This being the first show ever as a group for these rock veterans who come to us with an all-star line up to form this new recipe now to be known as Dharmata.
With members Greg of Left Hand, J.C. of Whatserface, Chris of Indium, Kevin of One and Jay Slim of Presence, nothing less than amazing was expected. Fans from each member’s previous band gathered in one place to see what this new formula had to offer.
One by one they took the stage as the intro to “The Crutch” immediately captured everyone’s attention. In seconds the room was engulfed in a powerful energy that pulled everyone into Dharmata’s world. Mesmerizing the crowd with his smooth vocals, Jay Slim made an immediate fan of all first time listeners.  Playing crowd pleasing, mold shattering originals like “The Fall” and “Jesus made me pancakes”, Dharmata had this essence about them that swallowed up anyone within decibel intercepting range. With great hooks, captivating harmonies and catchy riffs, they turned this first show into a memorable experience. With their rock, alternative, metal sound that is a far cry from the mediocrity that plagues the radio airwaves today. Dharmata far exceeded everyone’s expectations and is already a force to be taken seriously
